A Peek into the Library Transformation
Welcome back! We’ve reached Week 6 of the One Room Challenge, and boy, what a journey it has been. As we inch closer to the finish line, let’s take a moment to reflect on the progress made so far and delve into the exciting developments in the library/cocktail room.
Despite the whirlwind of traveling and a packed schedule, the library project has been slowly yet steadily taking shape. The highlight of this week’s progress? The completion of the bookshelves! With meticulous attention to detail, every shelf has been meticulously built out and now ready for a fresh coat of paint. The journey might have been slow, but every step has been worth it.
One aspect that has truly captivated my interest during this process is the design of the moulding details on the bookshelves. It’s been so fun to infuse my personality and some good ol’ fashioned charm into the room, making it truly unique and reflective of my style.
Now, as we gear up for the final push to the finish line, here’s a checklist of the tasks that await completion over the next week:
- Painting: Transforming the bookshelves with a coat of paint to tie the room together.
- Installing Cabinet Doors: Adding the finishing touches to the bookshelves for a polished look.
- Light Fixture Installation: Illuminating the space with a carefully chosen light fixture.
- Under Cabinet Lighting: Enhancing functionality and ambiance with strategic lighting placement.
- Desk Painting: Breathing new life into an existing desk with a fresh paint job.
- Hanging Draperies: Introducing texture and warmth with elegant draperies.
- Decorating and Shelf Styling: Infusing the shelves with personality through curated decor and accessories.
- Celebratory Cocktail: Because every successful project deserves a toast!
As we embark on this final leg of the journey, the burning question remains: will we finish in time?
